a few who need us…would you give in Jesus’ name?

This is Ayelech…with the HUGE smile…these are her children: Nathaniel, Mehret, and Bethlehem.

ONE WIDOW, NOT FORGOTTEN Three years ago, she was widowed.  She had no family.  She was left with a newborn, two small children and a traumatic brain injury that left half of her body paralyzed.  Her 5 year old son was providing their daily food by digging through the garbage behind the government hospital in Soddo. The picture God gave me was a heavenly view…looking down upon this young woman struggling for her family to survive.  He did not forget about her…and led her to me. You should see her now.  She has recovered from many infections.  She can speak and walk with a cane.  She is in a safe home.  She has huge FAITH.  She spends two days a week praying for others at her church. So, what now?  In the US, she would be put on disability.  She would have support.  Here, she has only what is given to her.  I’ve asked the Lord how to get her to a sustainable place.  He’s shown me she can’t do this alone.  She is not one of those where ‘helping will hurt’…helping her will help.

Jesus said in Matthew 25

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Dave and I would like to see some things in place in her life that will be lasting.  We’d like to see her have her own land and home. We would like to possibly buy her a home that has ‘rent rooms’ attached so that she can earn an income simply off of her land.  Of course, we cannot do this for every widow in Soddo, but she was specially appointed to us, and possibly to you.  If this burdens you and you would like to partner with us in helping this precious sister in Christ have some future hope and sustainability for her children, please write to me.  I would be so grateful.

FRESH WATER…BRINGS LIFE!!!

Here you can see some of our most favorite people that God has brought into our lives…Dave is here pumping water for them through a hand filter, because they do not have any clean water.  Over the past three years Dave has watched these villages in the Southern region receive compassionate care for their bodies and their souls.  We have an incredible opportunity next month to help 2 villages get fresh water springs tapped so that these areas can utilize a GIFT of FRESH WATER that God gave to them!!  Don’t you LOVE THIS!! JESUS is the WELLSPRING OF LIFE!! Let’s GIVE to these…who have so little, so they can sense and tangibly SEE Jesus welling up, bringing life, sustaining life and keeping them healthy!!  Can you believe we get to watch Jesus do this for these children!!??

If you’re ready to partner with these precious lives for FRESH WATER…you can here.
