~I love watching my girls’ hair bounce as they run and laugh through the grass. ~I love watching Maija greet and LOVE in a new language. And often without words. She smiles and gently waves, at everyone. She runs to greet the women who love and serve our family. ~Swinging and flying through the air…the laughter and simplicity. ~Simplicity and challenges. ~Relationships. ~My tongue learning to speak new words. ~Watching love work. ~Seeing pictures of my husband bending low, loving like Jesus. Being moved by compassion. ~People who have been untouched, untainted by this world. ~Living in a small apartment –gaining perspective and gratitude. ~Crisp cool morning air filled with the sounds of birds, prayers and children. ~The smell of buna roasting. ~A weeks’ worth of fresh vegetables every week…for 20 dollars! ~Milk fresh from a cow waiting in my refrigerator…learning new ways! ~Hearing Evie’s voice in Amharic and the joy in brings. ~Flowers in the hands of little girls. ~Little ones in my arms…blessing me with smiles and pure joy! ~Watching moms who were beggars, now working hard, finding purpose, finding joy. ~Knowing people are hearing the Name of Jesus…every TRIBE, every Tongue…His Word is True. ~His love extends to all, somehow…maybe through you, today.
