TO HIM BE THE GLORY!!

Tonight I sat in awe…quietly watching the delight in my childrens’ eyes as they CELEBRATED…gobbling all different colors of gelato at our favorite shop…drops of raspberries happily slid down her chin…chocolate mustache formed with such focus…they giggled and ate, maybe understanding why we had to celebrate…to mark this day in their hearts and minds.  They talked of Ethiopia, of moving, of which flavor of gelato was the best!  Dave and I sat more quiet than normal…maybe trying to let all the goodness of this life and this moment sink in.  God has brought a full team of supporters.  He has graciously poured out provision for our Soddo Home.  We can GO!

Ten years ago, we said Yes.  We told the Lord we would go.  Today, He made it a reality.  He owns it all.  HE has provided it all.

TODAY marks the day when God poured out upon our family.  Over 5 months, He has said yes through so many of you.  Over the last month, He said YES thousands of times…through dollar after dollar given in joy, sometimes in sacrifice.  All of your faces flash through my mind tonight…I should be screaming, praising, worshiping, maybe. But I sit quietly enjoying the thanksgiving of this moment in my life.  God had done what He said He would do.  He who calls is faithful.  He called.  He remained faithful and worthy of all we can do.  He gave us a calling, a vision, a passion and lives to pour out.  This joy is like no other on this earth.  I am so in awe.  Thank You, Heavenly Father.  You are good. You are Worthy of it all.

Psalm 4 5       Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the LORD.

6       There are many who say, “Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O LORD!” 7       You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.

Ps 5:11–12

11       But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. 12       For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.
