poured out…

Last week, we sat in a circle…friendships still being molded…still learning to share and to trust…that was when she said these words… “You know in the Old Testament when the Israelites offered sacrifices, there were different sacrifices that were acceptable….but the Drink Offering…this, was poured out. When it was poured out, the fragrance was lifted up, but there was no evidence left of what had been poured out…” This is the most beautiful offering…a life poured out, when no one sees. No one else but Jesus…pouring out your heart, your worship, your prayers, your gifts and talents…and no one else may ever know or see the evidence of the offering. No one may ever smell the sweetest fragrance of your life…but He does. The deep encouragement I felt from this word has given me strength this past week…I remind myself it is ALL for Him. He is the Giver of it all, and all that I pour out to 5 little hearts…all that I pour out in my little kitchen and over the sink, all that I pour out I as teach and discipline, disciple and give… all I am able to pour out and give back to Him is an offering. An offering of Thanks. It is always the unseen to the Unseen that brings the most glory and deepest joy. Pour it out, He urges this soul…offer up all you have. He promises to meet you there…speak to you…consecrate you with His glory…there is no greater joy.

…and its drink offering as in the morning—a pleasing aroma, an offering made to the Lord by fire. “For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the Lord. There I will meet you and speak to you; there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory. Exodus 29:41-43
